That's very cool. Honest dings (the ones you know when and where they occurred) are the mark of a working guitar.
One thing I've always found confusing is Fender's "anniversary" marketing. Yours is a 2011, which is indeed, the 60th anniversary of the Tele. I have a 2006 60th Anniversary "Diamond" Tele. This seems to celebrate Fender's 60th anniversary, not the Tele's. They limited the run to 1000 (mine is #531). Confusing. But clever.

That's a beautiful Tele, OS. The AmPro one comes in a lefty, and if this one didn't play so well, I'd get one of the AmPros.
I had totally forgotten about the 60th anniversary thing with mine. It's to Fender's advantage to harp on about the 50th or 60th annversary of so and so. Makes them "special edition"", I guess.

Every time I come across a lefty guitar or bass, I think of you, Willie. Knowing you probably already have the pick of the litter, I don't bother pestering you about them.

Awesome Teles, guys! I love Teles! The best electric guitar ever!
I love Teles!! I also love Strats. That's why I have several of each!

Your post made me go back and check when I got my Tele... I got my American Series Tele in 2002... still looks brand new - I only took it to a couple of jams...

Nick, that Tele is really something. You and Fred have those Teles in a natural finish, and I'm about to have a Telegasm here. I've wanted a natural finished Tele ever since I saw Denny Dias playing his with Steely Dan.

It was a fluke. I was in a local music store looking at digital recorders for my birthday and as we were writing up a sale my wife asked, "is there anything else you want to look at?". The Tele was hanging on the wall and kept calling out to me. I think I got it for $700 because I was also buying the Korg recorder. The recorder is sitting in a box, but the Tele is in my family room where I can grab it anytime I want! I do love natural wood. My Strat and Stol are both also natural wood, and all my acoustics except my Hummingbird are natural.

My tele is 13 years old, purchased NOS 11 years ago. Squier CV50 Tele in vintage blonde. It's got dings, a chip, and the pickguard is getting that really worn look. The frets are probably in need of a dressing/crowning. It may be the first guitar I ever have to refret.
