I think I might have mentioned that I had been playing the last rehearsals and gigs with the band using my Gibson SG.

Ok, it was the newest guitar, I love the 57s on it, it's comfortable, and everything.

But I, as always, returned to my beloved Am Std Strat. I'm gonna play another gig next Saturday night and pulled Jessica out of the case for a string change and some rehearsing, go get used to the strat shape and neck again.

Man, I can't love it enough. Whenever I play it after a break I fall in love with it again.

I plugged it into my gigging rig and used the delta tone system to scoop the bridge pickup's treble a bit, I mean just rolled the knob back to 8 and oh boy... Those CREAMY mids do come out beautifully. Probably the coolest strat rock tone I've ever heard. I'm using the ProCo RAT II for distortion and my Danelectro Daddy-O or the MXR Dist + for a mild overdrive.

No matter how I try to like other guitars as much, I cannot feel more passion and joy playing them than I do when I play this strat.

Can't change who I am, I'm a strat cowboy.

Ha ha. You deserve it, man. Give yourself a prezzie on your 60th. I'm already thinking about my 60th (five years from now), and I'm determined to treat myself to either a Martin 12 string or a Rickenbacker 12 string. But realistically, I'll probably be paying for a new roof or air conditioner unit...

I have been whoring around with my dirty little strat of late......posted a picsie ---- "GAS" ing for a low end rotten hunk of telecaster wood these days......I will stumble on one--- oh yes.......I will....or perhaps another "offset" beeastie..........Jazzmasterish perhaps?????

Great pics of a lovely guitar and a good dude playing it. I’ve been playing my Les Paul a lot lately, but last night, after playing the Paul, I strapped on the Strat, and it just felt so much better to me. I love My Strat and Tele and can’t decide which I like the best. Fortunately I don’t have to choose one over the other—whatever song I play chooses for me.

I lost an auction on a black body by 56 cents, I was so pissed. That motivated me to not cheap out on the next body I really wanted and it was the LPB.
