Almost March and it will start warming up here soon. Spent yesterday afternoon at a music store, today I'll be on a local radio station (terrestrial) and I'm going to see if I can work in a plug for the TFF Jam this June. Bonding with a couple new PRS Silver Skys. Starting to dig the small fretboard radius, I can understand the appeal now. Nice guitar. A bit neutral and generic but in a good, friendly way. Very predictable when you play it. I can see why they are so popular.

We had an ice storm last week so need to clean up some branches (bigguns!) that came down. May pop for a new electric chainsaw. Seems like a good idea for someone like me that only picks one up once or twice a year. Will make my Ash vs. Evil Dead costume more environmentally friendly too.

Heard from the Rickenjangler, he's on vaca right now and may pop in when he gets back.

The quiet day before a week where I have two trainings scheduled with Wednesday as a buffer between them. I'm prepped for the first, but not looking forward to the second. So it goes.

I'll be spending some bonding time with my new acoustic bass (I'll post data and photos shortly) after church and lunch. As some of you know, I still harbor wishes to join the church band, and after I retire this year I should have time to practice with them. The acoustic bass is my "learning" instrument, and then I hope to migrate to an electric. I may not have to, as this one has an onboard Fishman Presys+ system.

Our weather is the typical annual war between winter and spring. It hit 80° on Thursday and we got snow flurries yesterday. Today it will rebound to a more seasonal 60°. I hope to clean up my front yard a bit, as I'm now seeing daffodils, crocuses and buds on trees. Spring is coming, no matter what winter tries to do to stop it.

OS, was thinking of you because I read a great review of the electric Klos bass.

I wish it were possible for me to meet and jam with you all. I feel great, but I've got some health nasties that have to be taken care of. My 60th year has been an incredible series of health challenges. But I'm grateful for every day. Life is beautiful even when with obstacles in my way. I have so many fantastic things going on. Great kids, a loving girlfriend/partner, an interesting job. I write a semi-regular column for our local news paper--Bylines by Bill. I'm a volunteer for a group that makes a real difference to dogs and cats who need a forever home but have been passed over--Paws to Care. In fact, I'm off in about 10 minutes to clean the kennel. You get used to the smell.

And music-wise, I feel very good about a piece that I'm recording at the moment. Having written the lines for bass in my head, I'm having to learn how to play them--working them into my muscle memory, especially one tough passage.

It's been quite the week here behind the Cheddar Curtain where I had a snow shovel in my hands for an hour and a half on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's really a weird winter with no snow on the ground since Christmas and now I've got around 12" on most of the lawn.

Today we head out for brunch with members of our Corvette club and that's always a fun time.

Good day, all! Not much going on - have to review a bunch of stuff for Amazon today and am working on a song we're currently recording. The bridge needs to be reworked a bit to fit in better. After that I have to cut down a limb on a tree overhanging our street. It's not even on my property, but it's hanging low enough to damage cars driving under it (not to mention it could fall into the street). That's where my electric chainsaw really does a great job. OA, I've got a Greenworks 48 volt saw https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-Br...dp/B08X1HY8XS/ that does a great job. 2 24 volt batteries last a long time and it has enough torque to cut some pretty large branches. The only thing I don't like about it is that the automatic chain oiler leaks like a sieve, so you need to store it on something that will catch the oil.

Leaning songs for 3 bands at the moment. Not as much work as it sounds like. Only one of the groups will survive. I just don't know which one yet.

Working on a really cool new song that essentially chronicles some of the sensations of riding a motorcycle with your sig other on the back. Big fun. Really pleased with the progress and melody line. Way beyond my ability to sing it, so I'll need to find someone at some point.

Hoping to get out for a walk today too. Little bit of snow. 20 degrees, and no wind. Good times.

After church did some chores and some errands. Took last week off after Tuesday to ease the stress of period close at work. Got a call Friday on a perm job that sounds promising. Also had an epiphany on an item that companies may face in a decade. Wrote down the thoughts and questions in my head (about 3 pages worth). Have a call later today with a CHRO I used to work with to gain some insights before I finalize and publish the white paper.

Thank you. I get more than my share of rewards from it. Today, a beautifully, wildly furry cat named Harrison finally nestled up to me, and I lifted him, and gave him a right good ruffling, and he loved it. Others told me he won't let anyone hold him. He's my buddy now.

another cold snowy day here. Wednesday was almost 60 degrees. Sleet storm Thursday, another one on Friday. Again last night and again this morning. Supposed to be another storm on Tuesday. After nearly a whole month of warm weather and melting snow, looks like March is going to come roaring in like a Lion on steroids. Looks like rain on my birthday, which I'll gladly take because I don't have to shovel it. I'm going to be 65

My brother had his surgery on Wednesday and they sent him home on Friday. He's most fortunate that his girlfriend is a nurse and she's been fantastic. But she goes back to work tomorrow leaving him with me. Poor bastard. Apart from his loopiness from the Valium, he's going fairly well considering what a major operation it was. Fingers crossed but he'll make a full recovery and we won't have to move.

Now we can begin spending money like drunken sailors on the house. It's hard to decide what to do first. My vote is for new windows all around, new slider for the kitchen, storm doors for the kitchen and living room. Hopefully I can convince my brother to replace the basement bulkhead and windows, we really need that done to get a handle on our heating and cooling bills. It also is a major factor to being able to refinish the basement.

I'm a dog kind of guy, and I got my first cat about 4 years ago. My ex gf turned out to be a horrible person, and even though she was a cat person, that cat chose me, and I've often had her and my 80lb dog on my lap at the same time in the evenings. Luckily I have a sturdy recliner.

My vote is for new windows all around, new slider for the kitchen, storm doors for the kitchen and living room. Hopefully I can convince my brother to replace the basement bulkhead and windows, we really need that done to get a handle on our heating and cooling bills. It also is a major factor to being able to refinish the basement.

I’ll warn you about spending cash on the house. We did two bathrooms and our kitchen, and it was a hit on the wallet for 120K…I should have just purchased a different house.😉

As AI develops with self learning, we will need to consider it as closer to human vs program.
Don’t even get me thinking where Block Chain takes us as then we have to consider AI platforms hiring other AI platforms. LOL

It appears to have impressed my CHRO friend enough she’s thinks her CEO and I should have a discussion.

I have asked several questions the CHAT GPT refused to answer. None of them would be considered woke (at least the context of what some people are saying woke means).

I guess the best way to illustrate what I observed, is AI miss-represented factual data. That coupled with a discussion with the owner in a business I to be part of: that business is moving AI: how do you interview an AI. It’s more than requirements and specs now.
