Been a real tough, but winning day at the office…

…and I am having a Witbier while I wait for two dark bread cheeseburgers with extra cheddar and grilled onions on shoyu.

Anyone else loves this flavor? I remember Mc Donald’s having such a sandwich, it was called Cheddar Melt or something. The soy sauce adds a lot of flavor.

Mr. Sugar, she’s been a great day here behind the cheddar curtain. I spent a couple of hours washing the Corvette and then backed her into the sunlight to make sure all was buffed out correctly. You never know if things are completed correctly until the car hits the sunshine, and, boom…she looks great.

Work was the only easy thing about today. I arrived home last night from a cross-country flight and managed to avoid jet lag by going to bed at the correct time, not the body time. I awoke, went for a run early, in the already-heated day, and then went to a funeral. When I got back, I changed into shorts and tee and did some work, then went and had dinner with my daughter and family. They're headed to the beach on Saturday, so it was nice to get together.

Sugarcane, I don't do McDonald's, so I can't relate the flavor, but dark bread and shoyu?!?? Zounds!

We'd know that too if you'd posted a pic of that beauty.

Here you go. This was back in March when I brought her home from the dealer.

There is something spectacular about a clean, shiny car photographed in a snowy environment. Very nice!

Just one more. This is in the detailer's shop after he finished paint-correction and ceramic coating on the car. It really pops in the sunlight.

I ceramic coated my car, too. Two coats. Not only does the car sparkle, but cleaning it simply pointing a hose at it and then a leaf blower to dry.

Re: Been a real tough, but winning day at the office…

we just got through a week of work being done on the house. 4 days for the garage fire wall to be built above the addition adjacent to the garage. It was never done after the addition was put on about 50 years ago. Inspector said no gas vehicles, or even gas power tools or gas cans allowed until that was sealed off. We were told there is zero insulation in the bays between the rafters. How does somebody neglect to do that? More signs of amateur construction. Makes me wonder if there is even anything in the walls. Seeing as how much sound gets into the house, I won't be surprised if there is none. It is far too hot to do now, I'll be waiting until October at least before attempting the job. Maybe even November. While I'm at it, I'll also insulate the garage.

What is my office and bedroom used to be one big room. I'm going to remove the wall separating them and strip all the lath and plaster to the studs, walls and ceiling. There is a redundant side window onto the porch (which was added after house was built). I'm going to take that window out and close it off. That wall will become the closet. I'm going to put in a double wide bow window where the front facing single window is. All the windows will be replaced with bow windows eventually. I'll probably have to set up a temporary bedroom in the basement while I do that. I can do the demolition and install the sheetrock but I'll sub out the tape, mud and sanding. I'm going to put indirect lighting all around the perimeter of the room, and definitely lights in the closet.

Yesterday, my brother had his bathroom upgraded, new toilet, shower stall and sink. They came and did it all in one day. Today is the first day all week my cat has been able to relax. I wasn't able to do much because I was staying around in case of issues/emergencies. That and it is swamp ass weather here. Thank goodness we have the central a/c fixed. We've even run the window unit in conjunction on Thursday when it hit 97. Yesterday wasn't technically as hot but sure felt it with the humidity.
