Fender 400
Thought I'd post pics here of my old Fender. I've decided to sell it, and have a few pics, so here is a '63 Fender 400 pedal steel. It is the first run of the short scale with the improved changer, roller nut, jag style pickup, but has the chrome pedals of the earlier models. (The tolex on the case is also brown.)

I didn't advertise it here, Dan, didn't think there would be any interest. I just thought I'd show it off before it's gone! I have a couple of local offers, and one from Reverb, haven't decided yet. I was hoping to trade for a Thinline Tele!

Well, I took the offer on Reverb, and now its on a UPS truck!
Dan, I have a Sho-Bud pedal steel, but will usually take a lap steel to a jam. After owning a couple, I found a deal on a Gretsch 5700, I've tuned it E9 like the 'Bud, and it holds tune really well! One has to do slants to get a pedal type sound, but it is a quick, in and out, guitar setup.
(They are now made in China), but well made, and inexpensive.
