    Sunday winter sunday and coffee

cloudy grey and for a change not super cold, just barely below freezing. You know it's been too cold when 27°F sounds warm. I'm heading down stairs for coffee and most importantly to feed the furry overlord who waits somewhat patiently while I take my eye drops. Away to the kitchen.

Pretty warm down here, just got back from the market and I'm sipping the last mug of coffee before we begin to prepare lunch.

At 2PM the band will rehearse at the other guitarist's garage. I'll be taking the black strat for a pleasant ride.

Later I'll have a beer or a couple of shots of Jack Daniel's at a bar and come home to check the latest news on the Yankee's preps for the season.

    It's a nice sunday.

Looks like the snow is over! It's 33 here. Should feel nice when I get out there.

I need to get busy re-wiring my friend's Gibson Ripper bass and another friend gave me a mid '70s EHX echoflanger and Big Muff to work on.

The echoflanger seems to work fine. I think. What are these things supposed to sound like?

The Big Muff had dirty pots and needs a footswitch. The casing on the original switch is cracked and doesn't pass signal when bypassed unless I hold it together. Otherwise the pedal sounds incredible!

They're both in really good cosmetic condition.

It's about 60º here this AM with 2/5 cloud cover and a 3 kt breeze coming from the west. Great WX for raking leaves if I felt so inclined (I don't!). Better to finish up bench-checking a couple of amps then play some blues on my Mary Kay hardtail.

Snow last night, but the sun is out and it's close to 40 out. It's melting!!!!! the Mrs. was away for the last few weeks so we are catching up. It's good to have her home!
