I guess I should also pretend she came to my table, took my drink order, brought me my drink, took my food order, brought me my food, came back to see if the food was okay and if I needed anything else, refilled my drink, brought me the check, took my money, and brought me my change.
That's what a waiter/waitress does. That's why they deserve a tip. I'm afraid I can't stretch my imagination enough to pretend the chick who opens a window and hands me my food is a waitress. And why would I give someone extra money if I have to pretend they deserve it?

TB, it's not that many of us don't tip. It's that most of us only tip where it's traditional and makes sense to tip. Like I've already said twice: I'm a good tipper when it makes sense to tip. But like most of us, I don't think it makes sense to tip somebody for sticking his or her arm out a window.
