Howdy... Last month I bought a mint condition (used) TRAYNOR YVC40WR. I was wondering if anyone here has used the YVC40WR extension cab, and if so, what is the net effect (does it make the amp a little more "bottomy")?

Yardbird, I have used the amp with and without the extension cabinet.....it's night and day ( the addition of the cabinet being the better one). Once you use it, I'd bet you wouldn't go back to just the amp by itself, buit its possible.

I presently have a YCV50 Blue with the ext cab. IMO, it's not totally night and day, but it gives you a tighter bottom end and a "bigger" sound. I agree with MGW, once you have it, you wouldn't want to use it again without the cab.
Thanks Gents!!! I think the extension cab will be my next investment!
