I picked up one of these pedals from a friend. So far, I like it a lot. I have a handfull of others and this is small, and has a great variation of tones, sounds and control for the limited amount of playing I do. I am 95% on bass. I have an older Tubescreamer that works just fine as well. This fits in the pocket of the gigbag with a short cables and pack of batteries.

I've got a replacement vibrato bridge for the DC135 and 6N14N-EB tubes and caps for the Twinmaster on their way.

I bought a leather strap for the Hofner--an old fashioned one with a long, narrow strip of leather with a small shoulder pad. Perfect for the Hofner.

Yes. I guess I should have plugged it in before photographing it. Pressing one of the pedals turns on/off the lights, giving one visual feedback on the state of the board.

Well, since I'm about to move in with the missus, and we're going to live in an apartment with no acoustic insulation whatsoever, I'll need to play and practice at very low volumes.

I hate earphones, so I prefer a small amp that can at least produce some ambient sound.

    Ordered a Danelectro Honeytone...

I have one of those, Sergio. It's a novelty but sounds like poo. Good enough to practice with.

I know. For us gigging dudes, anything that isn't tubed up or solidlystated louder than 100 watts isn't good.

But in the state I'm in, I'm doomed and bound to practicing unplugged or using these small pieces of turd. And I hate earphones. So that'll have to do.

My big amps will have to be left for gigs.

I have two "tabletop" practice amps, Sérgio. A 30w Line6 AMPLIFi 30 and a VOX AC2 RhythmVOX. The former is about the size of a lunch box, and has phenomenal sound. It's a full modeling amp (there's a phone app that connects via Bluetooth that lets you set custom models). The latter is only slightly larger than a paperback book (abour 6.5" x 5" x 3"). It has a built-in rhythm section, a tuner, and When I play through them, I typically use my wireless XVive remote system.

I saw the doppelganger of my old Roland GS405X with matching extension cab yesterday. IT was my favorite SS amp and it did low volume like an ace. I was actually quite tempted to grab it.

You don't like earphones but do you hate over ear headphones? I stumbled onto something a few years back. Long ago I bought a Digitech RP 200 and I didn't care for any of the sounds except for the lead sound and it's wah-wah through a DS-1. What it has is a phones output. Years after I had the RP200 I thought, let me try it with headphone. I couldn't believe it; it sounded great. Like poop through my amp, but great with headphones. I'm not saying get a RP200, just passing on that over ear headphones really had a nice full sound. AKG's like the ones below aren't that much either and I can wear them for hours.

I like them. There is no noticeable delay, which is what I hear other guitarists worry about. I used them in my last live gig and they worked great! There's no getting tangled in cables on stage, and they hold a charge for quite a while (no worry about running out of juice mid-gig). I use them as much, if not more, than a cable. Really helps when I've got more than one amp / guitar setup, as I don't have to switch -- one is wired, the other is wireless.

I bought some of those Xvive after seeing somebody here post about them.

    They do work pretty well.

I still usually grab a cord because I am old and prone to what I am comfortable with, but if I'm swingin' axe in the living room instead of my office I grab those.

I don't need them, but I never seem to have one when I want one. So, Musician's Friend is offering a two-pack of DeltaLab CT-30 Clip-On-Tuners, so I bought a pair.

semi guitar related as I'll probably be using it to carry amps and stuff to my car when I go to jam at a friend's house.

after working on my SG for the last 3 nights, I'm this >< close to buying a Peterson Strobostomp tuner pedal. I should be packing everything up to move and not mucking around tweaking things and playing.

I just bought three new leather straps. I have one for each of my guitars and basses. I'll post a pic of all of my straps in the Whammy Bar.

Either are fine, I prefer the big one though.

I should make a note that the pedal enclosure itself is much higher quality than many other pedal tuners despite the minimal difference in price. I was using TC Polytunes before but prefer the Sonic Research strongly; it's also one of the most consistently accurate pedal tuners. A real bargain IMO.

looks like they only make and sell the mini.

Ishibashi Music in Japan has one on Reverb, it's 50 dollars more than a mini but looks to be in excellent shape. Shipping is included in the price. I messaged them about the shipping time as I'm moving in 11 days. I really shouldn't spend any money on guitar stuff but I really do need a good stand alone tuner since my Sabine is wonky after falling on the floor a few days ago, my elderly Korg DT-1 only works on 9VDC and I hate hate hate hate having to use a wall wart.

    Strings and foil tape.

Got the electronics shielded and now it is quiet! I almost thought I broke something because I didn't hear anything when I turned the amp on. It was almost dead quiet. Surprised the snot out of me. Broke my first string today while I was putting the new set on lol. I wasnt paying attention and snapped high E while I was tightening it. D'oh! Won't do that again.

As as powerful as a RAT, only less fuzzy and more versatile due to the crunch button.

A XTUGA IEM1100 UHF Single Channel wireless in-ear monitor system. I didn't actually have to buy this - I got a sample to review. I was a bit skeptical. Amazon has been selling a lot of Chinese products (as compared to US or European designed and Chinese made stuff) - and it's not very consistent in quality. This product works pretty well, although the earphones that come with are pretty lame. I swapped out a pair of Ultimate Ears earbuds and they sounded pretty good. Range was good and channel cross-talk non-existent.

I'd like to see pics! I've had a hankering for a red Strat with a rosewood fretboard for a while. I played a candy apple red G&L Legacy at a local shop last Friday. The price was okay and the guitar was very well made, but it was kind of a dog- not a great sounding "Strat".

I had a 96 Candy Apple Red AmStd Strat with a rosewood fb. It was a beautiful guitar, but I couldn't get a voice out of it. I tried several different pickups to no avail. The guy I sold it to still plays it, and when I see photos, I feel a bit of a twinge--I associate great gigs with it. I was never happy with the sound. I think he's left on the Texas Specials I last put in.

I'd love an AVRI one. Yeah, I'm looking forward to pics too.

    I can definitely do pictures.

from what I have gathered about the model, the finish is as fragile as the old Fullerton reissues and the one I've purchased definitely has a few small dings as per the reverb pictures.

well if you mean a great piece of rosewood on a neck, it seems to get harder every year. there are some guys out there with good stocks left still.

now if you just want a guitar with a great neck that happens to have rosewood, my personal favorite is the Suhr medium C. my first Classic, while not a particularly great sounding guitar, had the best neck Ive ever had on a guitar. my second one had the 60s carve, and while that guitar sounded a lot better, I never felt it was quite as playable as that first Suhr, which was so easy to play it seemed to have a mind of its own. I should have ripped the two point trem and electronics out of that one.

are Suhr and Fender necks interchangeable?
