    I'm Back

Apologies for my outburst several months ago. I stormed away after I felt dogged, but it's okay.

Thanks to Sergio and Coyote Gator for your direct messages to me.

I have loved this forum since I signed up in 2008, and I hope you'll accept me again.

I've bought something new since I was last on here--It'll come in tomorrow. I've bought an Epiphone EB3 for my girlfriend. She's incredibly musical, so I hope to teach her everything I know.

Oh yeah, I have a girlfriend now. Pretty serious.

Also, I bought a Taurus 9, 9mm luger. I have yet to take it to the range, but welcome me to TFF gun club.

Welcome back, Willie! Maybe I should take a break and find a girl.

Well, then I'd probably have to get rid of my guns and guitars. No, thanks.

Guess I missed that one! But I’m only here once in awhile, glad you’re back though amigo!

Congrats on the GF, new bass, and pistola! The wifey is wanting another one of her own, I got her a Browning Buckmark Target Model for Valentines Day last year. Now she wants something bigger. She liked my CZ P01, so I might get her her own, or a S&W M&P? IDK. But it’s gonna be whatever she likes best.

I’ve spent most of my life pursuing guitars, guns and pickup trucks.

Welcome back Willie. The long-time guys on this forum have an important input.

By the way, as a bass guy, I would have passed on the EB3 and gone for something like a 3/4 scale Fender to get your lady into the world of us wonderful bass people.

    Just sayin’

one of the receptionists at my chiropractor's office is a tiny little thing. One day she brought her bass into the building because she didn't want to leave it outside in her car all day. She showed it to me, an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous Ocean Metallic Turquoise Jazz bass. I've been in love with that color ever since.

she wasn't that much bigger than the bass. Played in her church P&W group.

    Re: I'm Back

My wife has always used a short scale bass, Mustang, EB-0, SB, and an acoustic that she likes. I traded for a PJ type a while back, that had been abused, and am trying to rehab it in a Blonde finish. Hope she likes it!

    Re: I'm Back

Most of my playing over the years was as a drummer. Was working with a country band, and lost our bass player for a gig. We couldn't find another, but I knew a drummer that was available, so I hired him, and since I played a little guitar, decided I would play bass. It was a country band with mostly 3 chord turnarounds, how hard can it be? I got through the night, feeling pretty good about it all, when the guitar player said "lets don't do that again, I'll sure be glad when Jim is back next week!"
