Another Assist For Tuning with Harmonics

Even if you don't tune your guitar to itself with harmonics, this is a quick way to match the 6th (E) and 5th (A) to your 2nd (B) and 1st (E) strings.
If you do use harmonics for fine tuning, this is another part of a routine which will double check the intonation:
Tune the 2nd string (B) to the harmonic on the 6th string, 7th fret.
Tune the 1st string (E) to the harmonic on the 5th string, 7th fret.

Although the 3rd and 4th strings need to be tuned, too, the above harmonic check can be used when you have a need to check the 1st or 2nd strings.
I find the "quick check" helpful after bending the strings on a lead or using the "wiggle stick" for some dives or controlled feedback tremolo bends.

Add this to your tuning routine if it helps ...... hope it does

I knew a guy back in the 70s who would use the"harmonic" method of tuning along with a fuzz tone so that the"beats" of two strings that werent quite in tune would be more apparent. The fuzz tone was revolting but the tuning worked;)
