    The 335

I've wanted one of these a long time. I got it two months ago. Lefty with blocks--they seldom do a run of these.

This is a model that's supposed to have the 70s classic rock tone, It does if you want it to, but it's also a jazzy with a lovely balance of bass and treble. If I were able to play in a band again, I could play it for a gig of wildly divergent tunes and stick with just the 335.

Classic! I can't tell by the photos if it's red or wood-grained, though.

    Thanks, b.o.b. and Fred.

It's a translucent red finish. It's hard to tell, and I know that both Sweetwater and I had troubles showing the top in all its glory and beauty.

I said on this forum once that I had hoped that the 335 would be my retirement guitar, but I'll probably never retires, so I went for it. Glad I did.

Nice looking guitar. A friend of mine has a similar lefty 335 but strings it right-handed.

Laker, thanks. I first learned to play upside down, so to speak. Still can to a degree. I know that Doyle Bramhall II plays that way. We lefties do what we can to play.

Dick Dale as I recalled played the same way.
