NGD: Squier 40th Anniversary Gold Edition

It arrived and after I unpacked it, I went over it with a fine eye. It was almost in perfect tune, and the intonation is great, it plays great, and the finish is flawless. Given that I bought this as a "mint" condition open box guitar, which knocked $100 off the already low price, I feel like I almost stole this guitar!

I have three Fender Teles (and they are all terrific guitars) and one G&L ASAT, which all cost more than this one, but I have no problem adding to my display (photo of which will come later when I get around to it).

I need to take a better photo. The Sherwood Green is spectacular! It almost looks a little washed out in these photos. I know some people object to gold hardware on Fender guitars, but this is the second Tele I have so equipped, and I really like it!

The gold bling is beautiful, pay no mind to the naysayers.

With the anodized gold pickguard, no other choice is even thinkable!

    Congrats.
I traded the other week into a 40th Anniversary Gold Jazz bass. Plays great. Just finished a 2 he gig with it. Sounded great in the FOH I was told.
These upper end Squiers are for real. Now have 4 of them.
