Jazz on a Tele is nothing new, Ed Bucket was doing it in the '60s.
This guy is good & comes up with some pretty interesting reharmonization ideas. I hope you can get something from him:

What a beautiful sound!
Super sweet!
If you're bored, you're not groovin'.
Fantastic sound. Great chops. Man can make a Tele sound as good as a jazz box.

Here's the late, great Vegas jazz guitarist Raj Rathor tearing it up. Notice the Joe Barden pickups on his Tele
Well, I just threw all my guitars into the garbage disposal and hit the switch.
Seriously Raj is a monster player. Thanks for sharing that.

Long ago when there was still a guitar show in Austin (even before it’s short lived run at the convention center during SXSW) I heard someone playing some of the coolest jazz licks so I investigated. It was Redd Volkert on a tele. Sweetest jazz I ever heard.
I heard Redd play in a club at a jam after one of the Dallas guitar shows about 20 yrs ago. He looked like he didn't know where he was as he wandered on stage. He grabbed a Tele & tore the place down!
