Photoweborama, My Fave Photog of Guitars...

    PwoR,

Do you take pictures for this lefty site? http://leftyguitarsonly.com/

If so, damn you for those pics of the 335 lefty with block inlays.

I'm seriously losing sleep over it, GASing harder than a French soldier in the trenches of WWI France.

It just looks a bit like some of your photos, and I just wondered.

No, I just shoot for my own site.
I can understand. I'm pretty sure I've inspired a lot of other guitar photographers out there.
I've seen my "touch" in a lot of the guitar photos lately.

I usually put my copyright on the bottom if it's mine, and also you will NEVER see anything but the guitar in my photos. I can't stand guitar photos where guitar stands are showing. I think its an eye sore and draws your attention to the stand instead of the guitar. At least that's the ideal I try to hold to.

    Thanks.

Yeah, your work is just the tops.

I'm glad to know, however, that you're not responsible for my hopeless GAS on that 335. Geeesssshhhh.

And yes, I hate pics of guitars when the seller is trying to be pro but does a half-assed job of it.

Photography is such a wonderful art, and you bring out the best in guitars. I'm not blowing smoke up your butt. I seriously like your work.

Have you done a book of your guitar stuff?

Being a big Beatles fan, I wish someone as skilled as you could take pictures of their instruments. Andy B's book has some really nice pics, but they're not as detailed and complete as they could be. I am not knocking his book. It's one of my favorite books in my rather large collection of books (I'm a nerd).

Actually yes. They were on Amazon.com. I'm don't think they are available there anymore.
You can get print on demand versions on Lulu.com. I even buy one or two as gifts every now and then.

I put out one book on China and two photo books of guitars.

I put out two calendars also. There was one year on Amazon that my main competition was Fender's Calendar.

Never sold many. I think I may have sold about 60 copies of all my stuff combined.

I've considered doing another calendar on one of those kick starter type of things to get funding. It's too late for this year. The calendar cycle ends in August, meaning you have to have your calendar ready to sell no later than August so you can get it into the channels.
