It's okay if another builder has used it before. If you'd make sure your build would have that feature, it's all good. I chose the curve on the outside of the elbow cut because I like the shape of that curve so much. Could have said the curves of the body, just got more specific.

The five way switch would be my choice with p90's...
This is not unique to only the Stratocaster, but I'd go for the straight string geometry all the way to the machine heads.
