    Tele--Pickguard?

A couple of shots of my Tele. I'm iffy about the tort pickguard. I'd really like to have a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, but I'm not making any music purchases outside of necessity.

    Holy Diagonal Shot, Batman!

I like it a lot! I had a Tele like that with a rosewood board and put a guard like that on it.

hmmm. Tort may be a bit busy.

Gold Anodized would be cool. I never could get along with teles that are sunburst without binding, though. White, snot green, or Mother of Toiletseat would also look good.

    Doesn't work imo
Plain white or partchment would be best, but then I prefer a traditional look.

It is a bit busy for my tastes. I'm going to see if it grows on me. I like having a darker pg to balance the maple fb color. I'll hold off on action for a while.

Wilco, that pg looks great on your Tele.

    Only works with binding though.

You and your fancy shmansy binding. Really, I don't usually like bound Teles or Strats, but your Tele looks wonderful, stately even.

I love bound Esquires! I think they're one of my top 5 faves.

Did Fender even offer an un-bound sunburst back in the day?

In the 70's they did Wilko... But that depends on how far you set the "way way back machine". ;)

    Re: Tele--Pickguard?

I think binding looks better on a Tele than on a Strat.

I have noticed that guitars without binding sound like ukes.

I kinda like the Tort PG on the SB guitar -
I would think either parchment or black would go well - don't think the green or straight white would work.

Well mine does, Wilko, and it still sounds like McCartney.
