NGD - MIM 60's Classic Strat

I've been after a new Strat for a while and decided on this one, despite the vintage specs (board radius, skinny frets, truss rod access etc.). It's got a nice 2 piece alder body, super comfy neck with smooth fret ends and it rings like a bell accoustically. Plug it in and the Strat tone is all there. Great value for money and a perfect base for mods if I decide to upgrade the pickups or trem block.

Very nice! I'm intrigued by this series. The vintage frets might be an issue for me, though!

Very nice! I've had a jones for one just like that for some time now. I like custom colors, but nothing beats a three-tone sunburst Strat!

I seen so much snobbery about non-USA Strats and Teles, but I've had a couple and they all were great instruments delivering a huge amount of bang for the buck. This one is drop-dead gorgeous. Congrats.

The MIM Classic series and Artist Strats are the best spent cash in the Fender line, IMHO.

Your Strat is an exceptional looker. Happy NGD!: salud:

I had an MIM 60's Classic in 1999 it was a 1998 model I put Fralins Vintage hots in it and a steel trem block and it was just awesome so much so I sold my Custom Shop Strat and got a 60's Classic BASS MIM a Jimmy Vaughan Strat MIM and a 60's Classic Tele MIM.

After that I liked the MIM models so much I ended up buying 15 of them from 1999-2006. All Classic and Artist models.

Beautiful pics. Love the Classic series. Have a 70's Strat and a 60's Tele.
I did have a 50's Strat too but it never got played so it got sold to buy a Burny 335. If I could have kept it I would have. Again Great series.

Re: NGD - MIM 60's Classic Strat

    Beautiful guitar.

I've recently got hold of a Classic Player 50's Strat. It was in a right mess when I got her : rusty & green frets, rusty screws, dirt/grime on and around pickups, dodgy input jack, no trem arm, no trem backplate, intonation shot to hell as (rusty) saddles all over the place....thankfully the electrics underneath were ok.

She's a beauty now that I have cleaned her up and bought replacement parts :
