    soldering or pot issue?

Just replaced vol pot on my gigger partso cos the splt shaft split in two. Plugged in and no sound on 10. turn down to 8 and there it is, and like 10 should be!

The soldering was not be best, but not the worst. Is it likely the pot? Callaham 250K CTS. I can measure across the lugs later but never seen this. Any chance my soldering can do this?

You sure you didn't wire it backwards?

Yeah - works fine 0-8, then cuts out past 8. Wierd.

Edit - was the pot..changed it out. Nevermind. Will post pictures of the guitar to make up for a pointless post.

probably melted the pot. i did that on my sg once, it turned down and then when it hit zero it'd come back on full.
