rebuilding this poor guitar for my buddy gary.

you can see it got the john mayall chop! i'm going to transplant the guts, neck and bridge onto the alder tele body i cut.

still have to decide on the color, but most definitely a chuckocaster crazy kolor fo sho.

I'm thinking.. Blue Sparkle and just rout & mount the existing Scratch plate & hardware onto the Tele body if it'll fit ( unless he's wanting a traditional look of course).

When You point your finger 'cause your plan fell through, you've got 3 more fingers pointing back at you.

That's one krazy T60! I can't blame your friend for wanting to remove half of the body. If I remember right, those were some heavy guitars.

Seems like the pups were pretty decent, though. With a new Tele body, it should be a neat guitar.

    +1

They weren't just logs... They were petrified logs!

To my eyes it's a huge improvement over the factory T-60 as is.

I might skip the guard on it all together and route the controls from the back, Electro jack it from the side and call it a day!

Maybe Metallic Slime Green? It'd go nice with the chrome/black pups.

thanks for the input guys, i'm thinking a quasi 70's tele deluxe sort of job. i just checked the neck and it mounts right into a fender cavity, scale length and neck screws line right up. so i'll figure out what i want to do for a pickguard, maybe mod the OG one. and man this thing is heavy the way it is, i can only imagine it with the whole body still on it!

    updates to follow.

The problem is all inside your head, he said to me. The answer is easy if you take it logically. I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free. There must be fifty ways to fix your axe.

You just slip out the jack, Zack. Make a new plan, Stan. You don't need a new neck Beck, just get the old one free. Get a new bridge, Midge. You don't need to discuss muuuuuch. Just drop off the bodd-eeee, Lee. And get yourself free...

ps - this is the way my mind works after returning from an all-night band practice, LOL
