    Short Clip--Zhangliqun Pure Vintage Strats

A short solo of the front and middle pups through a SF Champ.I love the clarity and quack,as that position can often be muddy.

Your picking is so good, refin, I don't suppose that I could sound like that even if I bought those pickups.

I hear what you mean about the clarity, but you also often get tones I like a whole lot better.

That sounds really nice. Like Jim says, your playing is a major factor.
But also, I usually expect "the Champ sound™" to be a dimed Champ, which I'm not nuts about.
That's a sweet sound you getting at a more moderate setting.

Nice any way you slice it.

Thanks guys for the kind words and kudos.....my playing is average at best.
I have to say that these are the best strat pickups I've ever had.I have described them as taking 20-25 vintage strats, and finding THE pickup set.David winds the middle pup a little lower than the neck for better quack---it works, and I can't tell any drop in volume, balanced all the way across.
On the Champ I was running through a Boss BE-5 just to give a very slight "haze" around the notes,a clean boost.

Beautiful piece and tasteful playing. Those pickups sound great.
