Now that's what everyone wants. A clean, loud BJ.

Oh, you were talking about an amp!

How is the 'verb in your new, improved Blues Jr.? 'Cause that (to me) seemed to be the element most lacking in the early ones...

"I'm gonna find myself a girl
that can show me what laughter means
And we'll fill in the missing colors
    In each other's paint-by-number dreams..."

the verb is very different to the standard one a little less treble..really warms it up a lot..very different..i love it...ive changed the pot so i normaly run it at 7 now..AY7 what a valve!!...my speacial twinstack mod is the secret to the whole things as well as massive transformer and power stiffening..the bigger cab and the c15k jensen..no speaker distorion..all output distortion i think the thing is working to its full potential....cheers

Re: now thats a blues jr

I put a deluxe reverb OT in a pro Jr, removed the NFB, snipped the cap on the board (high frequency pass) and fooled with the tone pot a bit. low gain in V1 helped a bunch

the stock OT is kinda wimpy

No pharting, less icepick and really loud. add a 2x12 closed back and (while not real versatile) a very usable amp for few $$
do I look like I know what I'm doing?

    Sounds Good Mark

A few weeks ago I had to buy the BJ the new cream board one as my normal Amp went west and I had a gig to play with my band infact it was a wedding and I must admit I was worried but the little amp did good and kept up with the drummer infact because the output was up to about 1/2 there was more tube overdrive which is great. I have ordered Billm kit for the tone stack bias etc so looking forward to hearing after mods now the speaker has brocken in I can put the treble up a bit too I had to keep it at about a third on at first.

So, are you inviting us over to have a listen? Can you pick me up at the airport?
