All I gotta say is wow, I've never owned an axe with a set of these in it until last month when I got my 57 AVRI, They are the perfect strat pickup for me, Perfect Highs and amazing Lows. I'm one happy Camper!

Older style 6.1 k non bevel'd ?
or
Newer style 5.65k bevel'd ?
I have the newer (beveled) 57/62's in my CAR '61 clone. They were a very pleasant surprise for me......and through my '66 Bandmaster they do the best "Randy California" I've ever heard. I don't think I'll use them in another build since I enjoy traveling down new sonic roads. But they're a nice set of pickups and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. YMMV

They are the newer ones. Used my reissue at a recording session a coupla' days ago and they really shined. I just couldn't be happier with them, like you Rog, I was very surprised, I believe (and so does Ms. Cleo) that there is a 62 Oly white Clone being built in my future (planning is in the process!!!!) and I think A Fresh set of these might find there way in the mix!![]()

Oh don't worry Roger, you'll be the first to see pictures once I get this project started! Your expertise, and ever constant ability to shock our eyes with insanely accurate (and gorgeous) "homebrew" builds is the inspiration for me to build my first clone!
.... Begun, the clone war has.....
(couldn't resist using that line)
Cheers!![]()
