Holy smokes! That was like watching Will Ray upside down, overhand, and left-handed while singing! How cool is that?
"No harmonic knowledge, no sense of time, a ghastly tone, unskilled vibrato, and so on. Chuck is one of the worst guitar players I know" -Gravity Jim

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

I wonder how many guys have tried playing their guitars backwards in their laps (while blindfolded?) to see if that's the trick to being as fast and sounding as good as him.
Wonder how he came to the conclusion that that way was best for him?
Great player, don't care for his voice though.

That guy is so incredible.
If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison
Interesting how he and Jeff Healey, both blind, approached a standard electric guitar by putting it in their laps, parallel to the floor...and both turned that unusual approach into some fantastic guitar playing.
(I know plenty of other blind guitar players have held their axes in the traditional way...but it's interesting that these two blind badasses had such similar ways of attacking the "problem." I wonder if any other blind guitarists have learned to play with the guitar in their laps...and if so, did they do it that way because of Healey and/or Hoffman.)
