about the last Wray Guns gig we had.
A very touching story.

C'mon OSA -
Give us the poop man!

Poop???.... easy for you to say that!
I wouldn't use the words poop and Wray Guns in the same sentence...
"We catched fish and talked, and we took a swim now and then to keep off sleepiness." Mark Twain
I didn't!
And just to be slick.....I spelled it backwards!

Give up the good's OSA!
They played the palindrome?
that's a doog gig...
'Alton Towers - Where the magic never ends', or so the commercial says. Imagine my disappointment when it closed at 7.30

Hey Mike, I guess you're going to have to play "kiss and tell".
OSA has not responded.
Maybe 'touching' has a different meaning...?
This is more suspenseful than the whole Zeppelin reunion and Plant's decision.
C'om OSA!! I think Gris is on to something!!

do I look like I know what I'm doing?
OK,
Here's the scoop.
One of the owners of the Bug Jar has a girlfriend who ocassionaly tends bar there. Well, she heard that I was playing there with a surf band. She said she loves surf bands and so made sure she came to hear us. Well, we Soooooooooooooo enamored her with our sweet sounds that she took a chance an hired us for a gig. "45 minutes or so" she says for $100. I told her to talk to Chuck (OSA) since he's the band leader. He sets it up for July 11th at 3:00 in the afternoon.
Well, we show up on the hottest day of the year and get shown to our play location. It's up around the back and around the corner on a blacktop spot. Just the right size to set up. So we unload, haul stuuf, and setup. Chuck and I are sweating our butts off. Tony and Tsunami show up and we finish the setup and sound check just in time for our audience to show up.
Out they come! about 80 kids from a daycare center aged somewhere between 3 and 6 I guess.
Well, we play played for a full hour for these little tykes and they dance and surf and hula and shimmy the whole time. Don't get me wrong, there were other places in the area for them to go. They had sprinklers set up in one area, hoses in another, and swings & slides and watermelon in another. They supplied us with water bottles and spray bottles to "mist-off" when needed. There was applause after each song and when we finished playing, they presented us with a big cardboard Tiki with our Logo for the Wray Guns on it and it was signed by a lot of the kids. It was sooooo cute! I think Chuck was about to cry; or was that sweat? Anyway, it was fun to see their eyes light up when we started playing and to see the unihibited, unrestrained joy in dancing. No cares about anything, just have a good time.
Chuck just e-mailed me that they want us back in September for the apple festival time.

That's a great story! I remember from my days playing out in high school and college, the most enjoyable gigs are rarely the ones you expect.
And it just goes to show you...if you want a story told, you gotta tell it yourself.
sounds like you had as much fun as the kids
do I look like I know what I'm doing?
Oh yeah, yeah, there is an outdoor venue here where parents freq bring their kids and the little ones are always the best, most enthusiastic dancers, LOL
Kids can be an awesome depending on the entertainment. A friend of mine is in a "family" band called Spaghetti Cake. They just hit 10 years as a band and had a lot of doing it.

That's great!
Can't post all, I have trouble seeing my keyboard.
Imagine why.
The kids are alright!
Sounds like an awesome time. I'd bet some of those kids will carry part of that memory for a lifetime.
Kids never hear live music anymore. Heck, twentysomethings almost never hear real live music anymore.
Several guitars in different colors
Things to make them fuzzy
Things to make them louder
orange picks
i used to play for my sister's class, so much fun. just me and the acoustic guitar. the kids were all just singing along, clapping, and dancing their asses off! so awesome.
i remember the time, as a kid, we had an elvis impersonator perform at my school. big impression, live music, never will forget that one.
