    5-hole gold anodized pickguard?

Anybody know of a source for one of these. My desert sand Baja is calling for one.

FMIC used to sell one a few years ago, but I think they're discontinued now. If you know where some old-stock ones are, that'd be groovy.

    I found one...maybe.

Placed an order through a website, but the transaction might have been screwed up. Pix if it comes.

They don't have it in stock, but FMIC apparently has them back in-stock again, and I should have mine in a couple weeks.

FYI. I allegedly got one of the last two FMIC had in stock. One more, and they're history.

Mine shipped Tuesday. Hopefully should be here today or tomorrow. Pix when it's installed.

    Well it arrived.

Despite the labeling on the package, it is NOT a five-hole '52 RI style guard.

What do you think? Should I add the extra holes in the body? I kinda like it the way it is.

I'd superglue little screw heads in the holes.

Didn't do the grooviest job gluing, but here's the pickguard, with brass slotted screws.

Nice. Looks right, and no drilling!

I have to say that looks... bossome!

I think I might have just drilled the holes, since a return to the stock guard would just hid them

FWIW the pick tends to "polish up" the anodize from wear just under the strings
