That's the current Champ 600 and nothing else? Wow. That sounds pretty wicked.

How loud is it when you dime it like that (or "12" it, I guess)?

I played one full blast at GC and it wasn't very loud.

It's way too loud to crank in a small apartment or in the house with someone in the next room, but full blast in the basement or studio would be no problem.

It is pretty loud considering the size of it,
I wish I had some p-90's to run threw it.
but its a fun lilttle amp to play with,it
    likes pedals also.

Wow...lotsa grit for straight in. Funky playin', Tommy.

Love to hear P90's on it myself.

Anyone else picked one of these amps up yet?
I'm a sucker for the little tube amps.
(actually, I'm just a sucker for more gear)

    I want one of those.

What do you think would win, if it was the Fender 600 vs. the Gibson Les Paul Jr. vs. the Epi Valve Junior?

    Re: Champion 600 and Strat

If I were posed with that question, I'd have to say that I tried the Champion 600 at the local store, and it was neat with the internal speaker. I don't know how it'll sound with an external speaker setup. The Epi Valve Jr I have heard/played with different single 12's, a 4x12 and a 4x10 cabinet. The Epi was far more amp than the Champion 600 in the tone and volume categories. Though if coupled with a speaker the size of the Champion's, the Epi might sound the same as the Champion. I know, get both!
    POO DAT!!!

The Epi comes as a wee combo, too. So it can be a pretty straight-up challenger. Of course the Gibson comes in a clear version ("The Clear," right Barry?), so it has that going for it.

I guess tomorrow I'm off to GC to face 'em off!

    Re: Champion 600 and Strat

Well I purchased my first Strat about 8 months ago on a "deal" after shopping for about a year. I found a brand new USA Anniv. that had never sold while going in to check out a new little 5 watt amp I had seen it a toliet catalog.(you know the one that you get once a quarter that makes it to bathroom litature) I had yanked a Strat off the wall to sample this little amp and ended up purchasing the guitar for a steal. Won't mention prices as that is frowned upon but I tell you a steal. However, the magic was gone when I got it home and ran it through my Blues Jr. Althought not bad..no magic.
    Fast forward 8 months..
My family purchased me this little "tribute amp" for my birthday and I pluged it up this evening.....There it is. This amp goes with this guitar. It sounds like creamy velvet. I am sure you know the sound that I am speaking of. The tone I have been looking for...Only problem is..it is no louder than an acoustic guitar...lol. Anyway it will be a great amp to do a little recording with and practice.

I am so stoked, I had to post!
We Aint Got No @&* #$%$ Band Randy!
