    Please certify originality of this neck

    Hello, I've bought Fat strat-style guitar and seller claimed that neck comes from original Fender Strat made in USA, and body is made by polish luthier, Z. Wiącek. I'm enclosing pics of this neck, please certify if it's original fender neck, or no. In addition, there aro no numbers/dates or anything else in the part of neck, which touches the body.

    Greetings from Poland 4 all.

    Jak se mas!

    The logo is fake. The word "Stratocaster" is entirely the wrong font, for starters.
    "...pray do not imagine that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field;
    that, of course, they are many in number; or that, after all, they are other than the little,
    shriveled, meagre, hopping, though loud and troublesome, insects of the hour."

    Its a 70's MIM Classic. Best pic I could find quickly with the correct headstock font to show the difference.

    Big time fake.....I was in Lublin (eastern Poland) last year and saw a store with a bunch of 70s Stratocasters. Looked just like the logo on this one. Nice axes but no Fender.

    No bulet, big headstock, big logo - actually late 60s if they were real!

    Fakearoo all the way!

    Is it possible, that neck comes form fender factory, but not from definite fender guitar? Does Fender produce necks, bodies e.g. as replacement parts (without serial numebers)?

    I too don't think your neck is a real Fender neck, although from the photos it looks like a reasonable quality neck. As already stated by other people the font is wrong on the word Stratocaster and, I've noticed the strip on the back of the neck is too long. It's much closer to the headstock than it should be.

    Here are some more photos to compare to (first time I've posted pics on a forum, so hope it works):

    1971 headstock removed from a strat I bought in the mid 80's (and not looked after very well!!)

    The heal from the same neck just to 'prove' the date

    The back of the 71 head *note where the stripe stops*

    The head of an early 80's neck that I replaced the 71 neck with

    The 71 neck as far as I know was the original neck, I bought the guitar second hand, so I can't be sure. Note, there is no serial no. on the 71 neck. The 80's neck, I bought from a shop, as far as I know, it was a 'spare part' neck, at least it wasn't attached to a guitar when I bought it. Note, there is a serial no. on the 80's neck.
