54 Thin Skin Neck Size vs R7 Les Paul??

How does the neck on the new 54 Thin Skin compare to the neck on the R7 Les Paul? I see the Thin Skin 54s advertised as a big 54 neck and was curious if the neck is a baseball bat like the R7 or somewhat slimmer. Thanks

I talked with one of the Wildwood guys yesterday, and he said the 54 is more medium and nowhere big as the nocasters (1" depth at first fret) which is close in girth to the R7s I've played.

    He also said it's a little more of a soft V and not a U like Fender says. Dave's guitars describes it as a C so it's simply a sort've a C-V-U shape : )

I have both, and the 54 TS is not even close to my R7, The 54 is much smaller than I expected. I also have a std LP with a slim taper neck. Id say, it's right between them both. Very comfortable IMO.

Yeah, the neck on my '54 TS,is almost the same as my 50th AmSe.,..just a bit "deeper" in the palm is the only difference I notice,..
Then only if I pick the '54 up after playing the AmSe.
