Where do they build amps?

Greetings,

I have done a search using multiple terms and I have not been able to find an answer to my question.

Where are Fender amps made? Are the Reissues made in one place, Hot Rod Series someplace else, Frontmans off shore?

Is there any comprehensive way to find the place of origin of recent / current Fender amps? Is it marked on the amps somewhere?

Hand-wired custom shop amps, are (or were anyway) made in the US. At least, that's the where the components are assembled.

All the other tube stuff is made in Mexico.

I'm pretty sure all the solid state stuff is made in China or someplace else in Asia.

I have a 65 DR RI and a 59 Bassman RI. Are they considered custom shop and therefore, made in the USA, or are they regular production and made in Mexico?

Everything that I have read would indicate that they are not custom shop stuff so I'm guessing Mexico.

They should have a notice on the back indicating country of origin.

The Vintage Reissues (DRRI, Twin, Bassman...) are made in the USA.


Or, alternately, in a tree by elves.

The SS is Mexico too, except for the Frontman series. (China I guess)
