Help..HRDx break down

it seems ok under low volumn, but when i turn the volumn above2, play a chord, the noise will begin...very big noise,,can not hear any guitar sound...
this is an 4 months old HRDx, only gig in a bank 2 times. other times all play at low volumn in my apartment.

i chang the tube, the problem is still there..

when i cut of the power,, re connect it.. it again sound ok at low volumn, when i turn up the volumn,, same thing happens...

anyone has the same experience?? this is my first tube amp, i relly have no idea what's going on.....???

PS, that loud noise doesn't change while you turn the volume knob.

Did you buy it new? Take it back to the shop.

Take it back. It's got a 5 year warranty. Mine gave some problems Less than a year after I got it. Took it to a great amp tech, and it's been great ever since.

Whats the name of that shop, and where is it?

Harry, you don't say what country you're living in, but find out who the official Fender distributor is (the people that represent Fender in your region) and tell them the story. If the store you bought the amp from is a legitimate Fender dealer, they will probably be told to refund your $100... or they likely won't stay a Fender dealer very long.

I agree, raw deal ... but to play devil's advocate:
They could charge you a restocking fee for returns if they have that policy on the back of your receipt or posted somewhere in the store.

Maybe for tax reasons it could work in your favor (next year) to write off 100% of the 'rental' instead of eating a restocking fee.
Any particular reason you didn't get something else with the store credit? Did they offer that as an alternative to a flat out return?

Not everywhere has the same rules for returning faulty merchandise, but here in Wisconsin (USA) if you return anything you buy (even cars) for the same problem 3 times, the seller is required by law to buy it back from you for 100% of the original purchase price under Wisconsin's "Lemon Law". You are required to let them at least try to fix it a couple times though. The Lemon Law here is the reason some commercial ebay sellers won't ship to Wisconsin, they know they're selling lemons and don't want to get stuck buying them back. ;)

after reading your advise, i went back to the store and talk to them. The problem is solved. i got the full amount refund.
