Need Reverb that sounds Springy - Springish

I need a reverb to go with my Pro Junior. I have a Boss RV-3 that I use with my Martins; it sounds great with an acoustic. The RV-3 has no spring-like quality. The RV-3 sounds like a sterile digital rack reverb when used with an electric guitar; I might as well use my Midiverb (sterile).

I want the spring reverb tone.

I bought a cheapo Behringer reverb paedal on ebay for $29 and it has a spring setting that actually sounds better than the RV-3 for electric guitar.

The Holy Grail is popular. The newer Marshall Reflector has a Spring 1 and Spring 2 setting (as well as rooms and halls).

Has anyone played the Marshall pedal??

The Holy Grails are popular. I had several EH pedals in the 70's and early 80's and I never got over the tin boxes with sheet metal screws. I had a LPB-1. a Screaming Tree and a Big Muff that all had screws falling out of them when I was younger. Perhaps I need to get over my EH construction quality fears.

I want a spring-like reverb tone. Plucking and popping.

I've been watching Holy Grails on E-bay and they really fetch a strong price which is a good sign (people must really like them).

I have a Marshall Compressor and Vibrato and I like the tone of those Marshall pedals.

    What to do....what to do????

    Thanks,

    John

Fezz, have you actually used a Spring King? I've read the reviews on Harmony Central and they seem favorable, but then again, 99% of the people reviewing on Harmony Central are in love with everything they own. I've never used (nor heard anyone use) a Spring King. Are they really any good? My Silvertone could use some help in the verb department. The stock is ok, but a bit thin.
    Thanks!
...and on the 8th day, God created the Super Reverb and there was ROCK, and it was GOOD!

That thing is $150. I wonder how the DR in a box compares. For a couple extra bucks, you get the tremolo & EQ too.

Is the Jr to small to have a tank installed, or would it be too much work/too expensive?

I can't recall the technical reasons but I've read several posts regarding installing a reverb in a Pro Jr...it can't be done.

Haven't seen the Dano up close, but the Premiers are ugly PTP inside, like a 50's Gibson amp. The schematic for the Premier shows some pretty innovative thinking on a low budget, but the concept is better than the sonic result. I'd pobably pick a Digiverb over one.

Line6 Verbzilla seems interesting. Same price as the Dano.
It has other features aside from straight spring reverb, which may or may not be of interest.

    The samples are pretty stunning.

Lots of people prefer the Didgiverb over the Boss RV.

I have a Verbzilla and dig the two spring settings a lot!
