    Which 10" Speaker?

I'm seriously considering upgrading the speaker in my AD30VT. On one of the Valvetronix forums a lot of people are upgrading the stock speaker to a Celestion G10. I'm not a big Celestion fan particularly and am considering one of the Eminence 10" from the Patriot or Redcoat lines. These are the ones I'm considering:

The Copperhead, Ragin Cajun and the Ramrod.

Anyone have experience with these? Suggestions? Mainly want a speaker that works well with the clean models (BF and 4X10 Bassman)

    Thanks!

Hey, JAM! I was asking about G10s a while ago in relation to a Laney 2x10 amp. Here's the link:

Have a read...Weber Silver 10 might be worth a look.

Maybe a cermaic Blue Pup would be the best sonic fit at a reasonable price?

The Gear Page has a ridiculously long Patriot/Red Coat thread that you can mine. There's a lot of personal experience on that one. (Search by post in threads of over 1000 posts.)

Yes, and then you can even have Ted tweak it for warmth/clarity because he has diff magnet/wattage options for the same speaker...

If you're already looking at Webers, and you're looking to get a warm sound, you should consider the Silver Bell, which is warmer than a Blue Pup. A friend tried both in a Velocette, and much preferred the SB. The SB is much warmer than the Vintage 10, the Blue Pup has better lows, but similar highs, IMHO to the Vintage 10.

Another warm one is the 10_150 speaker, which is based on a old Jensen "N." The 10A150 is my absolute favorite speaker. Warmth of a 12" speaker in a 10. Rounded, smooth highs.
    Several guitars in different colors
    Things to make them fuzzy
    Things to make them louder
    orange picks

Thanks guys! I'd considered Webers too. The 10A150 for example seems like a good choice, but it's nearly what I paid for the amp! From several sound bites and comments it looks like the Ragin Cajun and Copperhead are the two I'll seriously consider, better bang for buck than the Webers.

It's only a 30 watt amp. Both the Copperhead and Ragin Cajun are rated at 75W and are obviously much heavier duty than the stock speaker.

eminence legend b105's are great and won't break the bank. I have 2 in my super along with 2 cts alnicos and they sound great. they were great in my old vibrolux reverb too! You can get them for like 45 bucks each from parts express.
