    Basic question

I am pretty new at this, so if this has been answered a hundred times before, sorry. I searched the topic and didn't find anything this basic.

When you are playing around and coming up with your own tune and want to jot it down in tabs form, do you have any suggestions for getting it into a document format. As I said, I'm just starting out, but I've just created the cut and paste below and repeated it over and over on a page so I can handwrite in the tabs as I go along. This part is easy.

I was then going to transcribe my newly created tune onto a word document, but this is turning out to be very tedious. eg. enter the fret number, delete, delete (so the "e" line doesn't roll over onto the "B" line, etc.) Any helpful hints or programs you use? Thanks.

    BINGO!!! That's the perfect answer.

Usually I find myself cursing the insert key after accidently overwriting a perfectly good sentence. However, this may be the first ever legitimate use I've found for the insert key. Thanks.
