    Tele Wiring question

I'm in the process of installing a set of CS Nocaster pickups. My question is the neck pickup has 3 wires coming off of it. White, Black, which I know where to connect, but what's throwing me off it the third wire, a Green one. Where does it connect to?

I believe the green will also go to ground.
It's a ground to the cover maybe?

I plugged it in with the green wire unattached and everything worked. Then I touched the greeny to ground. Everything still worked. I left it unattached. It's great to get worked up over nothing.

    Re: Tele Wiring question

Is the green wire connected to the tab of the chrome cover on the pickup? If it is, definitely connect it to ground. The cover needs to be grounded, or it can get awfully noisy. The the cover has a seperate ground wire in the event you wish to use a four-way switch, in order to get a series sound. If you wanted a series sound, the coil ground of the neck pickup gets connected to the hot lead of the bridge, but the cover must still be grounded.
