DVD Screen capture?

I'm trying to get a screen capture off of the my Born to Boogie DVD, so I can get a better idea of what fuzzbox Marc's using, and I'm hitting a brick wall.

I can do an "alt print-screen" but when I try to paste into photoshop, I get a black screen. I can past into MiS Paint, and see the picture, but when I save it, it's black.

Anybody know the secret?

Oh, help on the fuzzbox would be useful., too It's blue, rectangular, and sort of looks like an overgrown Fulldrive II. The film is circa 1972.

You need a capture device that can disable macrovision, like a Canopus ADVC-100.

google utilities that will let you do that. VLC comes to mind as an app that will let you view the DVD and get screengrabs.

(I use a version for Mac)

Or look for an oem version of WinDVD4 se. I Got it bundled in with my new pc's software. There are others that have a capture part featured.
