just got back from micheal mcdonald/chris isaak

wow! great freakin show. we were in reserved seating so we were pretty darn close to the stage. i convinced my dad and mom to go, my dad's a huge micheal mcdonald fan but has never seen him live. neither of my parents are really into live shows. but i knew the venue would be a good one, and the sound would be nice. we saw them at ironstone vineyards in murphys california. the only drawback were all the wine guzzling yuppies, oh well, i guess that's a burden you have to bare with this show.

mcdonald sounded fabulous as always, and his band was really awesome. great music and musicianship.

but isaak stole the show, killer voice also, but a little more showmanship. not that that makes or breaks a show for me. but he did tell some pretty funny jokes, and seems like a real down to earth guy. hell both of them were really cool and laid back. the guitar player for isaak had a really nice tele and a strat.

great show. don't know where else they're playing but if you get the chance, go see them, it's totally worth the money.

Michael McDonald helped elevate the Doobies to a whole new level. Not crazy about his voice, but the guy sure can play, and write! Sounds like a great show chucko.

Really nice to get your parents out to experience something new. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

That's a great match-up! I woulda loved that show... McDonald's ultra-high precision band and Issak's equally tight but sweet, smoky thing... dang. Sounds like a really great night. Is McDonald playing the Motown stuff?

half the set was motown. mcdonald hasn't lost anything from his voice.

Chris Issak had the best mixed sound of any concert I have ever been to. Not ear beating-ly loud and perfect balane of instruments and vocals.
    No neck, no problem
