a problem with the hot rod deluxe footswitch

I have a problem with my hot rod deluxe footswitch.

When it's not plugged in, i can switch channels and choose drive/more drive by using the buttons on the amplifier. That works just fine.

But the moment i plug in the footswitch, the channelswitcher turns on and i cant get it off, neither by pushing te button on the speaker, nor by pushing the button on the footswitch. I can switch between drive and more drive though, but it can be a bit unstable, and switch by itself...

I've tried diffrent cables and the problem remains.

I assume it's something wrong inside the footswitch-unit?

    thankful for all help.

An uncomfortably common problem with the HR series.

    Not being a smart ass.......

Did you try another footswitch/speaker cable? (Not an instrument cable)
