I recently acquired a Squire Strat (E series) which is in generally very good condition, except that the tremolo is showing surface corrosion on many spots. Doesn't seem to affect functionality or playability. My question: would you recommend replacing the corroded parts with vintage parts? Or would it be better to leave the corroded ones in place until and unless it affects function? And as for replacement, anyone know where one can find possible replacement parts? (From Serial number it would be from between 1984 and 1987).
Thanks.
