Just curious.. Do I have the right concept?

That little trick that you taught me about putting TrueVerb on an Aux buss and then running all the tracks through the buss at different levels to make them all sound like they were recorded in the same room.

This is because all the tracks run through the common bus and then interact with each other when they go through the bus, similar to how they would interact with each other if they were in the same room.

Yes, by running the individual tracks at different levels through the same buss with the TrueVerb, it gives the illusion that all the tracks were recorded in the same room. Try it with just the direct and room sound selected (mute the reverb button).
