so the fralin's sound alot more stratty than the other's, eh?
The Stellies are damn hot pickups. I would recommend, for the bridge possition, a Muy Grande. It can be ear-piercingly bright while still maintaining its character. Try one, you'll like it. :)
The man with magic hands.
LS, any comparison to P90's?

When I first got Fralins the first thing I noticed was how responsive they were. I could get 7-9 different tones just using different attack strength or turning my thumb a little to the side or use my nail. I dont use a pick.
The second thing I noticed was I was getting all those Classic Strat sounds I heard the pro players get but I wasnt doing anything different it was the pickups.
All my friends told me I was playing much better which I was cause I was getting such good tone I was so happy everything I played sounded great.
The Fralins are clear cause they are low output pickups. Use pedals for the distortion.
To my ears [I was a recording studio enginer for 10 years] the Fralins sound more Stratty than anyother Strat pickups I have used or heard.
The ones I like best with the most chime and glassy sounds and sparkle are the 5% underwound versions of the Vintage Hots they are the same wind Callaham uses in his Custom made Strats.
nice! thx for the review Liquid!
i'm a big Vintage Hots fan. been a user eversince the GP shootout. but marcondo, those 5% underwounds sound very intriguing.
funny, but i've been thinking about going with a 5% overwound Vintage Hot, cause the Blues Specials are just too dark for me. need that lindy chime.. ;)
a set with 5% overwound VH's with a Steel Pole would be mad coo!
