What is the going rate for a BF Vibrolux head? The shop said it was a '64. The only issue that I could see was that the back panel was missing. I nearly snatched it up, but wanted to check here first. Thanks!

Check and make sure it's not a Tremolux head because the Vibrolux only came in combo form originally. I sold a very clean '66 Tremolux head and cab recently for $800.00. Hope that is of some help.
I'm pretty sure that it said Vibrolux, but I could be wrong. The asking price is $500, I figure that it's a pretty good price for a Black Face.....
shhhhhhhh!!
Don't tell everybody.... give me a chance to get by there to see it!!

It may have been cut down to a head then. If its not hacked up inside it would be worth that. You could always recab it down the road and pull down some good coin if you ever decided to sell.Originally Posted by Motojunkie

So, we're talking a 25 mile radius of Surprise?? I sure would like a Vibrolux head as a back up to the '68 VR...

Oh yeah, it has to be a cut down head. Man, I've been looking for this Republican approved amp for quite some time (both channels are "Normal" :lol). If you don't pick it, let me know where it is.

Grito,
I can only drool at this point... I will be a while before I can jump up and make the move on such an item.
If Motojunkie doesn't get it, you ought to check it out... it is closer to my end of town.

I really don't think that the boss (wife) would approve of me buying at this point. I took a 20% pay cut when I recently got promoted.... Long story, but I will (in the long run) more than make up for it.....
I'll shoot you an email in a bit to let you know where to look.
Funny, that's why I am making less money too... I thought the more experience one has and the more valuable one is to an effort the more highly valued that person is as a resource and thus, should be receiving more pay...
However, it seems the more experience I get, and the more seniority I achieve, the less I make in order either keep my job or stay employed!!!
What a TRIP!!!

Actually for me it's a schedule issue. My "normal" schedule has me working a lot of "built in" overtime, and holidays. Since I'm in training (for another year and a half) the company won't pay me overtime, therefore I lose money. The nice thing is that I won't have to work nights or weekends for a while. The 20% loss will be offset (over time) by my base pay going up around 20%. I'm due for around a 10% increase any time now. That'll put me close enough to my old salary to make it bearable. I'll also get a good increase when I'm done with training. Then when I get back to my "normal" schedule I'll get the "built in" overtime and holidays again, so in essence I'll come away with about a 20% increase. It's actually a really sweet deal for me.
Grito, you have mail...
Got it! I probably give them a call to inquire about the amp (I've been fooled by too many cut down Vibrolux REVERBS...)

I'm about 95% sure that there is no reverb.....
Guys,
I went by and saw it and played it. It is a Tremolux. Mint. Truly a real closet gem.
It has two channels, as usual. No master, no reverb. "Just" that nice Tremolux tone and the tre-MAH-lo controls.
$499.00 The real deal.
