    Best practice tool yet?

Anyone have one of these yet?

    Tascam CD-GT1

You can loop any part of any song, or the whole song, slow it down, change the pitch, play thru headphones, play thru your amp, etc, etc.

    Look da biz to me!

I have one and rarely use it anymore. Instead, I use a plugin (PaceMaker) for Winamp which does the same thing, but also works with .mp3 files.

I found the CD-GT1 to be difficult to initially figure out. The manual isn't great. The slowed down music drops out (more the slower you go). The amp models leave quite a bit to be desired.

Other "software only" solutions include "The Amazing Slowdowner" and "Slow Gold" (both are easily located by searching the net). For me, the Winamp plugin is just more convienient than either of these, IMHO.

Amazing slow downer. You can slow it down a lot more and keep it in the proper key. Plays mp3, only costs $39, it runs on your computer.
