Legs on a lap steel?
Anybody ever try this?
Adjustable height and quick removal would be cool. I'dlike to take my Chandler on the gig but don't want to sit down.
Also, how tough would it be to get two or three those cheapies from MF and put them together so you'd have different tunings?

Old Fender lap steels, like 50's Stringmaster had legs, the same ones as fit on a Fender Rhodes pianos.
I've use a modified snare stand to hold up a lap steel so I could switch from regular guitar in the middle of a song. You could also use a regular flat orchestra-type music stand (not the flimsy ones that fold up) to hold the steel.

No neck, no problem

Best suggestion so far came from the "other " forum. Keyboard stand. $10 - $25.
