    MIJ to CIJ switch

I tried to search for this, but came up short. What year did Fender Japan switch from the Made In Japan tag to the Crafted In Japan tag?

And what major differences resulted from the switch? The only thing I could figure out was the change from Basswood to Alder or Ash, but those woods were already available for the Japanese market.

    Thanks!

If you leave the house, you're just asking for it.

nobody has ever given a definitive reply to that question. Lot of opinions though most of them interesting, but it seems no one knows for sure. As you said the woods were always available so it wouldn`t be that.
