I've got an '85 MIJ Tele with the stock steel saddles in a 3-saddle bridge. Seeing as how they're pretty rusty (and it's a cheap fix), I'd like to replace them. I don't want to replace the bridge. It seems like I have several choices, including:
- replace the stock steel saddles
- brass
- brass compensated
- Graph Tech

Anyone have a recommedation or comment on these (or any other) replacements? What will a different material (brass, etc.) do to the sound? Anything about the MIJ bridges that require a different saddle from other 3-saddle bridges?

I'm also interested in any feedback regarding compensated saddles vs. bending the saddle screw.

Thanks.
