I just bought a White'99 MIM Strat. It wasn't my first choice, and it was almost my last- black being last, but the price was right ($187 on e-bay), so I got it.
WOW. It's really nice. I didn't think I'd like the white, but it grew on me in, like, 30 seconds. I changed the knobs to black, but changed them back- white was better!
I'll post a pic if someone will walk me through it, but in the mean time, I'd like to see other White strats- especially any with different pickgaurds.
congrats on your purchase. i think i would stay with the white knobs. still says i am not permitted to post pics yet, but u can still post a link to it. thats what i did anyway. just upload pic to a site and copy address to msg body, it should automatically create a hyperlink for u.

If someone will host it, and if I can find the darned thing, I do have a pic of my old school buddy Roy Thomas Baker (Queens producer) attempting to play my old white 62 Strat way back in about 1965. Unfortunately it was stolen at a gig the same year the pic was taken.. Never ever saw her again.:wah .
Anyway, If I can find the actual pic and someone wants to host it. I'll try and dig it up.

the first "real" gtr I bought was a white strat (...arctic white? it was the off-white that looks aged a bit, but not butterscotch ).
someday I'll own another, they're great looking IMO.

Here is 2 white strats, one is mex w/ duncan hot rails in the bridge pickup, and the other with some white is a squier frankie with a gibson humbucker, look ma, no tone control!
