Man, this is going to be great, and so close to my house...

I'll post my two songs I'm going to do. Chuckocaster is going to help me out.

I hope we have room for three guitars...

Basically these songs need drums, bass, rhythm guitar, and background lead. I'll do vocals and all I ask for is the lead solo in the middle of the songs. The ends of the songs can be a huge long solo, and I'll play rhythm on that section.

I record. I can't play and sing at the same time...

Now I can do the only two songs I know...

I also would like to do a song with Annie. The only one I can think of that I know is Summertime... I know very little about music so I need to know the key, but not really the key, but the first starting chord... then I know the progression from there.

I should learn about music some day..

Ya think you're close? We live one exit up from Jan's. With good traffic I can make it there in 4 minutes.

Gee I wonder why we're having the jam there?

More info: The employees at Jan's will be providing linner (combo lunch/dinner) for everyone. Nothin' fancy but it's free food.

The manager (BJ) was planning on a big spread for us but the absentee owner has cut off food for any event (even Superbowl Sunday). The employees actually pay for it out of their own pockets. Cheap, cheap, cheap.............

Bob - it's very gracious of the employees to want to provide food, but Jan's is already letting us use the club. Employees shouldn't have to dip into their own pockets to feed us.

What if we asked jammers to donate to a food fund? Jan's people can order and get whatever they want to provide, and we could each drop our contributions into a jar/box/whatever when we get there. Hell, we're gonna be buying drinks when we're there anyway - another $5-$10 out of pocket per person doesn't seem unreasonable.

If some TFF'ers don't want to or can't contribute we can make it voluntary.

And no asterisks by the names of those who contribute!

Can we bring food too? Hmmmm?
Is there room for the keys? Or should I bring Jose or Jezebelle? (Bring your ear-plugs, amigos)

Cliff, please play guitar, too. We'll do "Killing Me Softly" reggae.

The employees at Jan's look at it as mutual back scratching. Having the jam there and supplying food means more business/tips. These people are more like extended family than employees. Note: My wife works there part-time and will be bringing food. If people would like to bring something just let me know what so I can tell BJ what not to bring.

Definitely do not bring rice. The Castro brothers (bartenders) will be bringing a HUGE pan of pork fried rice (it's killer).

Woops. I forgot. When it comes to the money part, just tip the employees well. They are just happy we're coming on an afternoon that would otherwise be dead.
