    StewMac Necks?

Anyone ever try one of these? The stuff StewMac sells is usually top notch so I was wondering about their electric guitar necks? Anyone have any experience with these? For $105 you can get a satin finished ebony fretboard neck and all you have to do is shape the peg head. How do they compare to Warmoth and others?

I bought three of them right before they went to the 'shape your own' only peghead.

They used to offer a few different headstock styles.

    Mine are Jackson shaped.

They are, hmmmmm, a little wider side to side and a little thinner front to back as a Warmoth standard contour is.

Not a boat, not a V, more like a compressed C shape. Kinda shredder style.

I think the 'board is a 15" radius if I remember right, a little flat, but OK by me.

They are nice enough for the price, no complaints from me.

    i have one...

on my primary strat-clone, i got it about 7 years ago, though. So it has the Fender-style headstock. I was able to pick it out of stock there, very nice 22-fret rosewood board. Has a 10 or 12-inch radius, big frets and a satin finish. I like it alot and the price was right, too.
