    Shared An Interesting Bill

Just played a Benefit which had quite a diverse entainment line-up. My band which plays a Indy Rock style was followed by a Tom Jones tribute band, a metal band whose lead singer wore a "Cookie Monster" puppet head and had Seasame Street themed lyrics, a porno clown mime troupe and a industrial noise band. Pretty much covered a lot of bases LOL!

Anyone else play on some weird or unusual bills?

A good friend of mine had a gig in NYC where the warm up band cancelled last minute so he now had to play the whole night. After they got set-up, they were walking down the street and saw a bunch of bald head wigs for sale cheap. They bought 5 of them and did the opening set as "The Kojaks". Brilliant!

That was a brilliant move! Though not as impromptue it brings back memories of a 60's band I was in that broke the material into three sets from early, middle and late 60s and we would wear wigs & outfits to attain the look from each era. Sooo glad no pictures ever surfaced from those shows.

We used to have arguments amongst ourselves at certain gigs because of the wig thing especially when we found we were booked into a redneck bar or one that had only a small audience!
